Go, Play Sports

Things To Do When At The Campground

If you’re not so into fishing or taking walks, and enjoy more vigorous activities at our Kentucky campground, we also have designated areas for other campground activities. Some of our popular areas are the areas where you can play sports & other fun camping games for families. Gather around and pick your team of players to play a quick half-court game of basketball. Bring on the challenge and play full-court. If you’re feeling adventurous enough, convince your Kentucky campground neighbors to form a team and play against you. We also have a set up for those who enjoy playing volleyball. Maybe you’d like to forego having to gather players for a team, you can play singles horseshoes too, if that’s your thing. There are plentiful of opportunities and camping games for you to try at our campgrounds. Learn more about our campgrounds here or you can even check out our Facebook page!

Benefits of Camping Games & Outdoor Sports

1. Unplug from the normal grinding process

Today, nearly every second of our everyday life is all about computers, from working in the workplace with a computer to watching tv at home for endless hours. Going out for a walk or sitting in a park could offer you the chance to unplug, relax, and reset yourself. It would decrease the fear and depression associated with the on-demand world of today.

2. Enhanced strength

Yeah, it can be physically exhausting for outdoor recreation, but you can be confident that various muscles can perform differently than the machines at the gym. The motion of outdoor exercises works out the muscles of the stabilizer in numerous ways, thus enhancing muscle tone and strength.

3. Improved attention and improved sleep

Owing to multiple tasks, you probably have an understanding of how you feel exhausted at the end of the day. When exercising muscles and relaxing the mind, outdoor exercises can modify the way the body moves. It will be easier to fall asleep and stay asleep during the night after such rest so that you will be able to reflect on the next day.

4. Build new hobbies

Do you know that a perfect way to explore new interests and passions is to get out? Hike the new path or play the new sport, get out to a new location. These new events will help develop a love for the practice as well as for the new atmosphere at our Kentucky campground.

5. Improved bonding over camping games

Outdoor leisure time is a time of bonding. Outside, you should not refrain from chatting with other people, whether it is at a golf course or on a hiking trail. And you’ll discover the things you have in common with other people as discussions begin and this will be the plea for new partnerships and new relations. The lonely operation must have turned into a social outing.

The staff was pleasant and friendly. We stayed in a cabin and it was clean and neat. We caught a few fish in the pond. It was quiet and peaceful at night! There is a nice creek for kids to play in. It was close to all the sites in the area.

Love this camp. Staff is helpful and friendly, and .ost of the sites are in the shade for a good portion of the day due to the surrounding hills.

Camped out there for our wedding in Red River Gorge. Very laid back campground. We had a great time there. Close to Miguel's and walking distance to the reptile museum. Can't wait to go back.
